  2. Clean cars that are put together well will sell. Ones that are dummied up are easy to spot, at least to me. I see cars that are similar in construction to mine going for $15-18k. A bit disheartening, but also what part of the country it is from and the local economy comes into play.

  7. Sold my 40 Ford coupe to a fellow hamber about a year or so ago over the $18k threshold ....

    The last several cars I had I sold for over 20k ... 40 Ford pickup 26k, 1936 Ford 5 window coupe 32k and the list goes on ...

    Its definitely a buyers market right now. Ground up restorations are a lot more expensive than buying a nice running project you can fix up and most likely profit on or break even
