I have a 1950 ford with a flatty I put in a c-4 but now the rear end is geared wrong. The question is what rear end????? I was thinking a ford ranger rear I have one lined up for a cool $100 drum to drum. Any feed back would be help full thanks.

It'll hold up to whatever the flathead will produce.

7.5" or 8.8" rear? The 7.5 it light, and it'll work for most applications as long as you don't throw much power at it. I know that Ford ran the 8.8 in the lightning trucks that they were throwing 500 horses at with no problem.

    I've got a 7.5 in my RPU that's behind a 2000cc Pinto with a 4 speed.

    Thanks for the help.

  5. 8" out of a Maverick or Comet, I heard they pretty much bolt in.
