Projects hand-built 29/31 Model A coupe late 50's drag car

  1. Like a lot of people I hate fibreglass hot rod bodies with a passion, having owned multiple steel rods, I finally decided to build a body from scratch, built from flat sheet metal, so I went out and bought some 1.2mm and 1.0mm cold roll steel and got to work!!

I have a rough idea what car I want to build out of this body:
    - no paint! - will be clear coated in bare-metal
    - hi-boy style body
    - late 50s/early 60s drag car
    - the car will run a 6/71 blown 58' 392 hemi with hill born injection
    - I am having a boiling brothers 5-12 mandrel bent A chassis built currently
    - car will have a built alloy Torqueflite also from the 58' imperial
    - car cannot have a recessed firewall
    - I have a 36' ford dash that I may put in?
    - car will have re-pop halibrand wheels 15x4.5 front and 15x10 rear

I want the car to look somewhat like this:
