i'm the guy that won the 1st knob years ago (the one that the link was posted to). i still have the knob (kind of). i gave the knob to my son a few years back. i asked him if he wanted to sell it but he (maybe we) is starting to build a '26 chopped T todur & he plans on using the cool one of a kind knob.
if Saxman that made the knob wants to make more kind of LIKE it. have at it. if he does can he do one thing for me. start to number them but start with #2 because i think i have #1.
the knob still looks as good as it did when i won it years ago.
i could get my son to take a pic of it if ya'll like.

I'd like to see a pic of it. I'd also like #2....along with about 500 other guys.

  7. Yep it sure has.

How about a HAMB Alliance shift knob/lotion dispenser, you know... because my hands get dry.

Holy shit! I like the other one but that one is beautiful. I'd run one of those.

That thing is a work of art! Looks like it was hand engraved...not sure it could easily be reproduced in quantities. I would love one though...

yes it is a work of art. that is why i paid so much for it also to help out the board. it was all done by hand and i don't think it could be copyed very easily.
my son love's it and i hope before the end of the year he will have it in his sedan by the end of the year. he should get the body soon and he will start building the car soon after.
he is buying a car i started to build two years ago then sold to a friend & now he is buying it back to finsh it.

That knob being a one off, there should never be another made like it. A totally different design, yes, but never another one of that design.

I like the HAMB in the shift pattern. Maybe a cast aluminum with faux blacktina in the depressions or a cast stainless (can you cast stainless?) version with some raised embelishments and such. I really DO like the polished look...goes with any interior. PLEASE make a new version...

If every swingin dick on the HAMB has one then they won't be as cool or unique. I'd say all you out there that want one get out to the garage, use a little creativity and make an original of your own. I'snt that what the hamb is truly about anyways...
