Notice the styling clues are a lot like that of the Lincoln Futura. The headlight treatment and, rear fender top vents. If you look at the concepts cars and compare them to the cars of the same period. It's easier to appreciate their styling.
Compare the Futura to the 54, 55, Ford's and, Lincoln's of the day. It's one of my favorite Concepts. I loved the DREAM CARS as a kid! Ron.....

 

1965 CRV-1 (Centaur) The body was made of Cycolac, a product of the Marbon Division of Borg-Warner. The car was assembled by Centaur Engineering of St. Claire Shores, Michigan.

Yep ford debated between both Cougar and Mustang before settling for Mustang and the rest is history.

 

In the 70's-80's my brother worked for Borg-Warner in Oxnard CA. Cycolac was produced and pelletiezed for injection molding companies that made items such as the old corded telephones. Strong stuff, don't ever remember a dial phone breaking.
