HAMB '57 Chevy club! Post you pics here.

Here's my version of Sullivans 57.. really a Bel Air w/ a 56 dash I shaved and welded in! It's been my everyday car for 13 yrs now! Time flys..

Thats cool, so it's like a euro '57 but with left hang steering. (euro 7's had 56 dashes because of the symmetrical design being easier for right hand drive.)

 

Love '57's............ My first one was a blue bel air, first nomad 4 years later and last one over 20 years later..

 

Any Hambers out there know where the "King of the road" '57 chevy ended up? The tales from the crypt series was a little lame, however the episode starring Brad Pitt was CQQL and that wicked '57 got my blood pumpin'.....be cool if one of you guys had it stashed away....John

 

Yeah, It was my way of making it less of a "57".. My least favorite of the Tri-5's. An Australian gentleman stopped by to look @ the cars here in the yard, and he noticed the dash. He was curious where the car came from, and my Dad told him what we did.

I love 57's. This was my second one. Not a street car as it was intended to be but never the less it came out nice.

 

had her for 30 plus years..she has been up in the air with ralleys......stock and now down.....stock 6 in a row make it go dual carb offy, headers, and short cherry bombs..............

 

Just got this one finished last year. Aztec Copper ('57 Corvette) and Adobe Beige. Delray interior.

Heres her 57. Its got me out of alot of jambs. Because I'v always told her. Im still looking for all the parts to put that grocery getter on the road for her.

 

Here's a couple of my project. 283pp, 700r4, front disc brake, original style interior.
Had to sell my 55 to keep going. What type of wheel combo should I use?

 

i have had 3 cars in the parts a 4 door wagon a another 4 door wagon and a 2 door post wish i would have not get rid of the 2 door.i always wanted a 57 chevy convertible they are nice cars but out of my price range.thanks

 

Hard to really go wrong with any wheel combo on a 57 rag! just please dont go modern. I always wanted to put a set of torque thrust TTO's with either red lines or gold lines on mine, that would be cool mid to late 60's look. Maybe some chrome O.E. steelies and 1 inch whitewalls for an early 60's look, or Lancer caps and wide whites for a late 50's look, maybe with some whitewall pie crust slicks on the back. But thats just me, and the kind of stuff i like!

 

I was thinking TT d's cause I hate to buff aluminum, or chrome reverse. thought the reverse might be too racy or not quite right though. And the pie crust whitewalls are cool but impractical for long distance. I'm remarking on the fact that you nailed my selections without prompting. No modern stuff here either.

those wheels are bad ass for a late 60's vibe! I remember seeing them advertised in my old hot rod mags. Cant remember what they are called though.
