I bought a conversion kit to use H4 bulbs in my headlight buckets before I decided I wanted to go with a generator and now I am wondering if I am going to be able to use them. The only other powered device I might use would be a small electric fan and an electric fuel pump. Its a 12v system.

Am I just expecting too much?

I've got them on my roadster with only a 15A generator. On high beam, mine draw about 6A. Halogen bulbs are MORE efficient than incandescent, not the other way around.

My buddy Matt's model T runs an electric fuel pump, electric fan, and halogen lights with a 30A gen and it charges just fine.
