not too sure but it looks like the car og was a hardtop and he chopped it using a sedan roof... we had a 54 hardtop chopped in the club that was sold that thing was perfect
Gonna paint it a blue tone green loaded with gold dust! The only skirts will be the wife an daughter.
Nice work! Please take a lot of pictures and include comments about how you cut down the pot metal vent windows and rear quarter glass frames. For us hardtop guys that is a real bugaboo.
wow! just checked this out. have you done leading before? looks good, that will be a cool kustom when it comes full circle!
Hay Kid, where did you learn how to do that?? Watching your progress gives me a big ol Smile. The Wizzard
Wow. Car looks great man. I love it. Can't wait to see a finished project. Wish I had the guts and skill to cut the top off mine!
Teeth are 54 chev 33 of em. Got the roof in pretty darn good shape. Now on to the drip rails an beltline. I had Mitch stripe the dash this week before the window goes in.
Well, I have been waiting somewhat impatiently for the results of your chop but now I see that you were right. It's perfect! In my opinion the length and proportions couldn't be any better. Brilliant!
Not A lot to update yet im replacing the front half of the left rear quarter it was piled bad about 25 years ago.
That is one swanky lookin' custom! I don't think I've ever been so excited about a '53 or '54 Chevy in my life! Way to go man!
Just saw this thread for the first time. Have nothing new to add, but just want to give you some props too. Car is coming along very nicely, looks like its gonna be wicked when done.
Allways good to see some original thinking on an tried and true methods. The cheby looks badd ass.Don't stop now!
Well I finally got this thing into primer thanks to my dad an inliner 54 (Cody) for all the help. Now just got to get a window in an some fun begins.
