My Dad had to be out of town this weekend, he's 71, and told me to come pick up his hotrod and enjoy it this weekend. What a blast!
'55 Olds 324, '39 ford 3spd, Champion quick change, '32 rails. Had so much fun I can't wait to get back to my Studebaker pickup. Currently, I'm working on a '40 Indian Sport Scout.

I like the old hot rod - way cool touches all over . I'm liking the rear bumper treatment . He took some time wrapping it around , a nice touch .

I'm really diggin' the O.G. Honda cafe' racer in the background ... specs on THAT one ?

The Honda is a '75 cb200 cafe I built to race in the Lake Erie Loop. Was leading it when a wire broke in the rectifier 340 miles into the race. The green one is a triumph I built a couple years ago.

Call your dad...tell him he needs more vacation time....tell him: "I'll call you...dont' call me"

Nice Honda, sad story - Triumph needs to be returned to stock - my opinion of course.

Thanks for the info - way cool stuff . While I'd surely rock that Triumph all day long , to ME the Cafe' is the BEANS !! Bummer about the race though ...

I've got a line on an old CB400F Cafe' built by a friend back in the day . Hoping to get it into my garage in the near future ;) .

Thanks for all the kind words. Back to work on the Indian now. I'll post some pics of my Studebaker pickup project later this year when I get back on it.

Very cool. Now you've had some time behind the wheel, how do those front dirt tires feel/handle on the road, and at speed. Also, how much road noise from the rears. You see this tire combo quite a bit, just interested.

Is that a brass squirrel for a shift knob?

Yes, thats a brass squirrel for a shift knob. It was the outside faucet handle on the house my Dad grew up in. The tire combo seems to work pretty well. I've driven it at highway speeds and are predictable. I don't think the tires are terribly noisey, but could be drowned out by the quick change whine. The cb Honda was on Pipeburn, as well as the triumph, good eye! I actually rode the cb through London on the Lake Erie Loop race!

Nice roadster that your dad has. I'm looking forward to see that Stude Pickup if it turns out anywhere as nice as the bikes.

Very nice ride, I bet it made your dad as happy to loan it out to you as it did you. My son is 17 and takes the 41 out every chance he gets and I enjoy seeing him excited about getting to run it. Nothing like hot rods to unite a father and son!
