"Habitual traffic violator gets a sticker on the window of his hot rod. This sign brands cars of Los Angeles drivers who break auto safety laws. Officer L. Samson decorates the windshield of Richard W., one of 98 who preferred the sticker to jail on July 23, 1947."

  2. I wonder if he owned a razor blade?

I don't know about now but they used to give out zebra tags in oregon for certain traffic violations I guess it was supposed to keep you from driving or something like that.

If you look real close, the face of Jesus is on the radiator. He looks sad.

Lord that battery is ugly right there. The radiator looks like it came from a '36. Guess they really did build r_t r_ds back then.

Bet it was a chick magnet too.
Looks like Mike Imperioli form the Sopranos next to the guy with the tie on, who may be the barber or a soda jerk. So much to see in a classic picture.

That's been posted on here before and the general consensus was that most HAMBers would wear it with pride.

stickers are for amateurs. I wonder how many violations you needed to earn a jacket?

  21. I wonder if it was required that they stick it on while you sit in your car and the entire town looks on and laughs at you.

There's one on the car behind it, too. These guys were getting "scarlet letters" of the traffic world.

Is it me, or do those front brakes look like they're missing the rods? That could be the reason he's driving reckless.
