Post pics of your HA/GR, your HA/GR build or pics that inspire you or your build. lets see chassis shots, action shots, posed shots, candid shots, new shots, old shots, your shots and stolen shots. i'll start with a pic of ThingyM's chassis...
Well, I'm at work so I can not post a pic of mine, can not work on it either! I do have some pics on the last post on this page that guiseart was kind enough to transfer over from the main board.
my whole build is documented here. http://4images.sgtmcd.com/categories.php?cat_id=6 here is a pic from there.
Here's a couple shots of the sign on the door of the Speed Merchants new hideout. Not an HA/GR but I am inspired by it. Brad
I like the new logo. The new shop is awesome. Here's a sot of the Cotton Copper. It inspired me when designing our rail. It's a survivor.
I've several photos to share. The twin flathead isn't very clear and it's too small. It does prove they were doiing twins in the early days.
Rand Man, you are on the money! thats exactly what i was hoping for. having looked at tens of thousands of drag racing pics, the earlys still get me going...why? because I can do it too, and so can you, and so can the guy down the street. the beauty is in the simplicity, the ingenuity, and the purpose. that red full bodied job keeps spinning thru my head.....
That's not fair! I see a blower on that flat motor! I love that one. Do you have any idea when that picture was taken and where?
Cool pics Randy. I like the blown flatty too. Wander if we could get away with it if we put a tall hood on our cars?
I don't know much about these photos, but tey are pretty old. Some of the cars were crude. Some are way cool.
Randman, those pictures are of early slingshots with drivers sitting behind the rear axle - too modern for a HA/GR. However, they are cool and some have inspirational technology.
Sure, some of these don't qualify as HA/GR, but they are still in the "homebuilt" era, before race cars all started to look the same. Hrere's some that should qualify.
This is the photo that sold me on building the rail. A set of rails, a team and a motor. The essence of mechanized sport.
Here're the two that put the last straw on this particular camel's back........... First the memory jogger ........... then the connector ................. and thus the plan. And yeah, that old thing of flattie eights vs. inliners that turned my crank back then.
