In my attempt to get the '57 F-100 on the road again I ask my self little questions like:
Which way do the new grommets go on the refinished valve cover? I'm assuming out side (on top) the cover, rubber side to the cover and metal side to the nut...in order to generate a seal. It was originally missing both the ones on the valve cover and the push rod cover and was a hot oily mess...I can't seem to find a good photo reference for this...any have an opinion?

AHHH, many thanks...all this technology at my fingertips and didn't think to check the Google. I appreciate the help.
