[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]I have a few chipped badges for 1937 Studes which I'd like to try and refurbish. Does anyone know: 1) what is the metal they are made from? 2)can the metal edging and printing be cleaned/made shiny again? 3)is that glass over the face? 4)is there a way of removing the glass without destroying the metal (like heating the works and dropping it into cold water, or some type of solvent or etching process?) 5)if the glass can't be removed, can the chipped areas be cleaned and then built up with nail-polish or something? This is not going to be a 100 point car, so some less than perfect results would be fine.....

    Thanks in advance

Thanks. $350 seems to be a going rate for complete restoration.
