Well, last year I traded my 40 to another HAMBer and have regretted it ever since When I saw it back on here for sale again I was pumped! Its back home to stay! I drove it all over town today and had a blast Another Hamber buddy of mine, Mudd, painted the dash and garnish the same color as I had him paint the wheels a year or so ago. Just got it back from him yesterday. Plan on putting a new trunk floor in it and driving it to LSR in April if the old Flathead holds up then next winter building a new Flathead for it. Here are some pics from today.
Thanks guys! Put a lot of work into that thing before I traded it off, still has a ways to go, but its a driver and always will be. Chad, that sounds like a good idea!
A '40 Ford Deluxe coupe is my favorite next to a '56 Nomad. If I ever get one, I'll never sell it. Glad you got it back. Bring it to Dewey in May.
Nice. I couldn't believe it when you traded it away. That roadster is nice but c'mon, a '40 coupe = Awesome!
Yep, watching it get hauled off on BenD's trailer was terrible. However I did do well with the Roadster and bought the 40 back right, so I can't complain. It won't be leaving again though
How you ever managed to sell it in the first place is beyond my comprehension. One day I'll have a '39 or a '40...oh a man can dream, a man can dream.
WoW very cool car just the way it is. we all have learned lessons in selling cars and then regreting it. your'e the lucky one.
Love that forty! I sold my '37 years ago and immediately regretted it. Good thing I sold it to a family member and was able to get it back. I have it now for 31 years, minus it's 4 month hiatus.
Hey Tom, it always feels good when a child comes home after being out late. Glad you got her back, congrats.
Congrats bro, the car has a very nice appeal. It just looks like a cute gril that doesn't wear but a touch of makeup and looks great. Love it, happy for ya. ~sololobo~
Nice Tom. Couldn't believe you ever sold it. Congrats on getting it back, really like the dash and garnish mouldings (great color). Hard to beat a black 40 coupe. Gary
