Yeah, there were a few times where I had to sit down for a while because I was feeling funky.

I hate to be Captain Obvious, but it was really, really hot.... LOL. I was about medium-well by the time we were finished shooting the drags on Friday evening.

Kirk.... your pictures are amazing..... thought the "hood ornament thread" was great but these pictures make me feel like we were actually at Good Guys.

Your photographic eye is truly amazing.

I know I speak for others by saying "thanks" for all the effort you put into not only taking high quality pictures bit also posting them here on the HAMB.

    It wasn't that bad.:D

Maybe you should talk to the higher ups about a nice light colored gg uniform, I love my black and wear it almost all the time but I will sport the light blue if it is gonna be hot like it was.

Off the topic a little..... but being you mentioned "Farrah" .....

We just came back from spending a week in the LA area..... visited NHRA Museum - SoCal Speed Shop - Kewi Kev - Sespe Creek 4th of July Car Show....

...... but BY FAR the most moving experience was visiting the resting place of Farrah Fawcett.

Nestled in between city office buildings is Westwood Cemetery where Farrah - Marilyn Monroe - Donna Reed - Dean Martin - Roy Obison & others.

The small, quaint cemetery is approximately 150yards by 100yards consisting of one large grass covered traditional burial section bordered by above ground crypts.

It was a humbling & somber experience!!!

That 61 Pontiac post car is way cool, it looks great. That for sale white Rambler has a great look to it as well. Anyone know anything about it?

I wish I had stayed home and just caught this post. It simply wasn't enjoyable at 107 degree's out.

There was a nice collection of Woody's there though.

My buddy has a 55 Nomad sitting for years that I always razz him about, telling him I will trade him straight up for my running, driving, solid 56 Pontiac. We counted something like 8 55-56 Nomads but not a single 56 Cheiftan (One 56 Star Chief and a 55 Chieftain). I told him I would have to rethink the deal since my car is obviously rarer. ;D
