I don't know what it is... The season maybe. Just thinking about everything... Everybody here who brings something to contribute, to share, to help. The serious stuff, the awesome humor...lol. It's one of the first things I noticed about you guys...some of you are sooooo fkn funny...lol. Thinking of all the great people we've lost, yet we still keep in our hearts. Just another thing that we share. 3WLarry comes to mind, of course...and his wife too. And all the other wonderful souls...everybody...who has helped and helps to make the HAMB...and even life itself...a fullfilling and enjoyable experience. Thinking of all the really neat things I've seen the HAMB do. Hamb Andy. Son of a gun...every time I think of it. Absolutely the best. It's just good to have friends. And personally, I'm able to say that I know some gooooood people. How else can I say it? I like surf music. How 'bout a cool surf song? Some good vibes for you guys. And I mean every note. Have a gooooood day, everybody! And a heartfelt Merry Christmas. Enjoy the music and be happy!!!
Back at you Rick, can't get your video to play, probably my steam powered computer doesn't understand the format. HRP Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available.
Well drats, Danny...gotta be able to enjoy the video. Try this. Search on YouTube, Blue Stingrays Monsoon. Anybody else unable to watch the video?
Video is very cool, your post is better. I remember what you've told us about your losses. The HAMB is truly a port in the storm. Merry Christmas, Rickybop.
When I found this place back in 2005 it frightened me. All the flames and popcorn. The originals eating the young. Just when things would get real hot old porknbeaner would chime in with one of his wonderful non sequiturs and life would go on, the ashes would be swept away. Thanks for the tunes Rick! -Dave
This thread is about all of us. We all have a story, that's for sure. But thank you for your kind words, williebill.
Slow, relaxing and beautiful, or non-refined and typical, or urgent and bad-ass...old standards or stuff a little more off the beaten path...surf music has a lot of heart. I chose that first tune because it conjures a feeling of hope that I wanted to share. Kinda like a collective victory dance. So in that spirit, here's another one. One of my favorites. I dare you to turn this one up and be able to stay still...lol. Here's to all of us! Fists in the air!!!...
The Surfin' Eyeball with all the little fishes(?) around it, Wow. Thanks for the mellow tunes and the kind words, I would like to reciprocate the feelings, Carp. Oh and I grew up listening to Sandy Nelson and The Ventures, so I know good stuff when I hear it!
Glad some of you like this stuff. Bump for the evening crowd. Surf music has such energy to it, I sometimes think of it as a metaphor for life. Surfers need to be brave and it takes a lot of effort to ride those big waves. But they do it. Surf music expresses that. Life isn't easy sometimes. But we grow some balls, put forth the effort, and with the help of friends, we do it. This surf tune expresses a certain urgency. Makes me think of how we sometimes feel when life throws difficulties out way. Live on, my friends...even if the surf is rising.
All the best to You @Rickybop in the This Holiday Season...May it be Peaceful, Happy and entwined with Family, Surfin' Tunes and Hotrods and Customs...
