27 T pickup with a three carb 406 FE had thrust bearing face on crank worn BAD. These cranks are hard to find so had the thrust surface built up with weld and ground back to standard. Had to have crank ground 10-10 after welding to remove warp. Moral of story is do not to sit in traffic with the clutch pedal down if engine has a high rate pressure plate.
