I was there in 2010, the trucks first outing. When I left Atlanta it had 220 miles on it, drove it to Pigeon Forge and back that weekend with no troubles, 500 miles round trip.
I missed the show in 2011 but have already put in for vacation for this year, planning on being there.

I found the thread on this truck, definitely not bolt on, I guess if it was that easy more people would be doing it. Cut and paste indeed :).

heres my 50, its been sitting for 21 years, ill be driving it daily very soon. i rebuilt the engine, relieved the block, potvin grind cam, aluminum gear, duel carbs. rebuilt the transmission all new bearings in the diff, converted it to duel exhaust.
complete brake system overhaul, including removing and sanding and flushing all the steel lines, new rubber lines,
new door rubbers, and glass and rubber/felts.
king pins and bushings, ft wheel bearings, ft shackle pins and bushings, tie-rods, shocks and front and rear windshield rubbers.
hand sanded the body and rubbed it down with gibbs oil.
changes oil and inspected the steering box, put stp in it.
got to do a little wiring upgrades, and fix some bad spots, still gotta repair the speedo and check the other gauges, but im gonna drive it like they are for now.
    i love it..

The green one (52) was mine and the blue one (51) belonged to LOWFOMOCO here on the HAMB. Both trucks have been sold. Mine I believe is on the west coast. Should have kept it (want it back).

Bill, you took the words right out of my mouth....My old 51 lives in Santa Ana right now...I actually talked to the guy I sold it to last week and told him that when he got ready to sell it to give me a call. I am saving my pennies....I should have never sold mine either.... Hopefully I will bring it back to SC one day....

Scored a parts truck for my 60 ford 4x4 from fellow hamber Chris and his dad.
I really dig the custom fit canopy and am going to use it on my 4x4.

Here's mine. Worked on it all summer and this is from the first trip out of town. We hit sun, rain and snow and had a blast!

Thanks! I appreciate that. I busted my ass all summer and I thought it was going to kill me a few times, but I got it done and now I'm driving the crap out of it!

Pretty non traditional as far as that goes. It's a 302/AOD and a mustang II front. I did get almost 16 MPG while driving 80 on the way to GNRS..I was happy!
