Well it turns out HOK Zenith gold is way cheaper than I thought so that's what I am going to use. Now I need to find the right white for the roof.

  16. My '66 Studebaker with the original Yellowknife Gold. We matched it exactly to a Saturn gold. base coat/clear coat. It looks great in the southwest sun but takes on an olive cast when it's cloudy. By matching the original paint, I saved painting the jambs, trunk, and under hood.

The Dean Jeffries Porsche was painted gold when he sold it in 1962 - I elected to restore it to the original silver but I have a couple of shots of it in gold

Great thread! My Biscayne is gold. I want to flake the roof, but I'm not sure what color would look best with the gold. What do y'all think?

  28. Flat-Foot - Seems as though you've settled on the HoK Gold but, let me offer another suggestion and one for the white roof as well. 1962 Chevy Impala Anniversary Gold, GM paint code 927, Ditzler # DQE-22157, and Ermine White, GM paint code 936, Ditzler # DQE-8259. That white might be a bit much for the big roof but, it shud look just fine on your Buick's small roof. That's it in the Impala's side trim.
