going to new york this weekend,anything going on?

    Well me and the wife are going to spend a week in the big apple starting this Sunday for our 10 year anniversary,Any car shows or weekday night cruise places going on? Also any info as where to eat etc would be great.thanks

    Congrats on the 10 year mark....As for cars shows or night cruises, I can't speak to much as the ones we hold are far out east from the city, so I don't think that would help much. Things to do in "The City", geeze what isn't there to do. What are you guys into? What types of food do you fancy? Remember NYC is extremely diverse, so we have it all, just depends on what your true interests are. Give me some hints and I could try to point out some places that I enjoy.

    Er I wouldn't really call Rhinebeck NYC - but that does look good! :cool:

    OC Dave, not sure of any hot rod stuff happening in the city this weekend but feel free to IM me with your interests and what part of town you're staying and I'll try to help.

    Congrats on the 10 year! My wife and I ran away from here for our 10 year :D

    Engine138 is correct. Rhinebeck Ny this weekend is a killer show, but its a hour and a half north of the city. But...in Lyndhurst, NJ Every sat night. 20 minutes from mid-town by Giants Stadium.

    THIS SATURDAY,MAY 7th THE AMERICAN CRUISERS @ the WHISKEY CAFE host the BIGGEST CRUISE NITE in New Jersey! THE GOLDEN GUP will be spinnin some great 50s n 60s tunes! WE WILL BE FEATURING PREFFERED PARKING For all VEHICLES 1985 and OLDER! so dust off that classic car or truck and leave the LATE MODEL home! come on down and have a great time and see some BEAUTIFUL HISTORIC CARS and TRUCKS!

    If ou're gonna be in Manhattan itself, not too much goes on. Cooper Classics is a classic car dealer but 90% of what they have is Euro stuff, Porsche 356s, Jags, Healeys, etc.

    Most everything happens out in the suburbs.

    Hey Slim Big thanks man,look forward to trying mcsorley's! Wife told me today were going to buffalo for 2 days to see niagra falls then down to nyc. going to be staying on the jersey side and doing the comute thing via train or bus I guess.Gonna have 3 days in NYC so I gotta make the most of my time...

    Go into BK for pizza. Grimaldis. Tons of places to eat. Shows etc. Not many shows this weekend. Slim is right about NJ ;) Those jersey kats a funny.
