Thanks, Skip. My shots weren't as close to the color as it should have been, so I used a new adjustment technique. I combined two shots, but without using HDR processing. I believe I got pretty close. That color is easily misrepresented indoors. Wish I would have been able to shoot it outdoors Thursday, that overcast would have been perfect.

It blew my mind to see this. This is the state-of-the-art 1955 slingshot dragster, the car of Santa Ana's Calvin Rice in the NHRA Museum. Of course, no doubt a clone, but nevertheless amazing to see this famous car that I saw in Hot Rod Magazine when I was eleven. I believe he won the first Nationals in Great Bend, Kansas in '55.

 

Some REALLY fantastic pics, Tom....thanks! One thing about that Alloway Vette....Cast finish on the spokes would have put that car into orbit for me.....big hoopties an' all. Bitchin' car though. Dug that Fairlane too.

 

Finally getting around to looking at GNRS pics....way cool!
