I am not familiar with GM markings, but recently picked up what was purported to be a 1932 Chevy frame. While working on it I noticed this stamp. Can anyone tell me what this stamp denotes? It is pretty large , over an inch in diam. and on the side of the front drivers frame rail. Thanks, HT
It designates it as a super chevy! Sorry, couldn't help myself. Not sure, but wouldn't be surprised to learn it was manufactured at the Saginaw plant?
It was made out of Steel! (actually I don't know, but my guess would be that it's from a stamping plant. I seem to recall seeing it on my 39 Chevy frame, also)
