Spent an hour earlier just catchin up on the HAMB and seeing what everyone was up to. It really got me going again and motivated to make some progress on my '56. I have been debating trading or selling it lately, just wanting a new project as I've been workin on mine for 3 years now...but it made me realize there is still so much I want to do with it and I'm going to get started now! I just took a break, and just drove the poncho over to Starbucks to visit my girlfriend on her break (and get some free coffee!) and while listening to the sweet tone of my dual flowmasters (I finally put the caps back on the side pipes - and good thing I did because the cop that happened to be parked right down the street was pissed off when I blinded him with my HID's I swapped in) started thinking... I'm going to order the front end suspension rebuild kit from Kanter within the next couple months when I have the money. Going to buy new shocks soon, and get the brake light switch replaced. Then this weekend I'm going to track down a couple shops that could rebuild my steering box. Its time to get this thing finished! So, I guess theres not really any reason for this post, but thanks for being around guys! oh, and on a side note - I spoke to someone on here a while back who gave me the contact info for a shop out in El Cajon (I'm in San Diego) who could rebuild the steering box. I can't find the thread or remember the name or anything, but if anyone could point me in that direction again that would be great!
I too love the inspiration and motivation that comes from here. Try ABS Power Brake in Orange, CA. I got my shoebox rebuilt for $225 cash out the door. Obviously price would vary by box but they've been around awhile and turned it out in a day. Good luck!
