Art & Inspiration getting a model A motor running

  1. the last time I got my old doodle bug running I posted a thread showing pictures to document it. well....it had sat again...but for longer. my buddy Larry and I decided to do a video digging it out and getting it running.

    Ted, nice to see this. Quick question: do you get bump steer with the front end raised like that? :rolleyes:

    Pretty cool. I’ve an old Clark fork lift with a Continental engine, every 5 or 6 years i with need to moved it or use it for something, I get the same joy getting it going.
    One difference is my choke is “hand made” I lift the oil bath air cleaner off, and choke it with my hand.

    I surprised the clutch wasn't stuck...Used to be hundreds of those around when I was a kid..

    You're a brave man wearin' shorts in all that un-identified brush and weeds! No poison ivy in Connecticut!?!

    Very cool video. Just so you know, I'm available for adoption. I could live in the shop, I don't eat much, and promise not to scare the womenfolk & horses.
