After grinding the lakes off at the autocross course, no wonder they need to vacate the premises....

  4. Well, Brent is done with his part and he did a great job. I love it. Now it's off to BigO's shop for the body work and paint.

    Here you go;

  8. Gotcha.
Brent is a vintage airplane buff. He has a bunch of cool plane stuff. I don't know the first thing about planes.

Are those '56 DeSoto front bumper guards, mounted on the back bumper as tail lights? That's awesome, I always wanted to do that! (I actually wanted to make the exhaust come out there like on a '55 T-bird, but either way it looks great. Perfect shape to fit the car.)

  10. Thanks.
They're actually the turn signal pods from the front grill of a '56 DeSoto. Good eye!
I also thought about using them as exhaust ports but decided on the taillights.

I'd be honored to have my '52 Cranberry parked next to that at a car show.

    looking good, Nice job..

you are correct the guys on the other board might not care for what you have done. I did some posting on the truck side of me screwing up (their thoughts not mine) my rare dodge woodie with one of Bretts MII frontends and the BBC and I could tell it was not what they would have done.. I am sure they were thinking I was the devil for cutting on it.... but oh well (I may have redeemed myself some by noting I was going to pull the BBC and install a 392 hemi instead)

    looks slick man!

never thought I'd look at an early 50's Plymouth and say 'damn, that looks good!'

    haha

  21. woo - big honking HEMI MAN

    lets here the details man!!!!

  22. Thought I would share a few updates.
The car is at BigO's shop. He had a few concerns about the back widow frame so we contacted Brent and within 10 minutes all was well. Mike worked all day friday and made great progress.
I have been considering painting the roof a different color, possibly non-metallic silver.

Things should move right along at this point. Time to focus on getting my glass cut.
