Once Gene get's to make a run, it sure would be nice if his Grandson could make a few laps and maybe do some of those Gasser races with Gene as his Crew Chief. That way Gene could have some involvement and not put any unneeded stress on him and also might be great therapy.

Sorry I didn't mention, it would also help to bring some young blood into the Sport.

I don't think anybody knows for sure who will occupy the Moonlighter's drivers seat when it makes full bore runs in the future. If it is an alternate driver, that person will have the best possible Moonlighter teacher ... Gene himself.:D I suspect Melvin will be in the pit crew for sure. ;)

Gene wanted me to post these pictures for him. " When the Willys was finished and first raced in 1965 and restored in 2013."

It may be fixed already, I haven't been to Gene's this week. He took the springs to be re-arced late last week. I'm going by there tomorrow and will let you know.

The front end was off and it was hard to tell, but it is closer to the original stance.

    Exactly my thoughts Shedrat.

If I hadn't know different, I would have thought it was probably a father/son experience.

No matter what generation you're from, all it takes is one blast in a mean V8 powered stick shift car and you're hooked. I've been hooked since 1971. No doubt Geoffrey is too.

When I saw Geoffry sit in the Moonlighter at Greer it looked a lot like a picture of Gene in his scrapbook taken back in the day. Future driver? Just saying :D

Quain, you may have created a monster. I posted something on Gene's facebook page and saw Geoffry's post telling Gene about you giving him a ride. Here it is, I had to post it here.
"Hey Gene so Quain took me for a ride in the Executioner... You gotta do better than that, I mean we are FAMILY and all............."
