I found that the steering box seal kit i got for my 1955 Dodge 1/2 truck with gemmer box is not the correct one, all seals and gaskets/shims are too large, most likely for a 3/4 ton or heavier.

Anyone know who might carry these?

    Thanks,
    Derek

it's been a year, put the box on the backburner for our new addition to our famiuly last August, our son will be a year old soon, then a move back home and getting settled.........now that the dust is settling and I need to get the 440 in place and want to get the steering column mounted to fit the u-joints, blah blah blah.....................ANYONE:( know of a source that can supply me with GEMMER box seals, bearings, etc?

I may need to steal a bearing catalog and cross reference seals, as the bearings don't look all that bad.

Failing that, since I am installing a 66 GM column, any suggestions on a different box?

Wondering when the vicious circle ends, thanks all.....
