    Hi Guys
    Thought you might like these.
This is what my father was racing in the late 60's early 70's.
Some of you may have seen my posts for early Olds speed parts, well racing Oldsmobles in late 50's early 60's lead to these cars.
Thats me around 72 standing by the dragster but some how I strayed to the dirt ovals in 85 until currant in which I am still racing Super Latemodels[didn't figure I better put that pic on a hotrod board]
    Thanks for reading my ramble,enjoy.

He built the opel from scratch and was run with a small block.
The car was sold without the engine and I don't know where it went.So maybe
These shots were taken only about 1 hour from Cleveland.
The green anglia was run at Sunset,Quakercity,Dragway 42,and Meander or Youngstowns Ohio Dragcity.Don't know were that car went either or the dragster for that matter.
Would be neat to find them again

  9. What an awesome way to grow up. Nothing wrong racing late models. Though with drag racing you don't have to keep straightening body panels and repainting. ;-)

  10. Nothing to do with your story exept I love the look of this van and your Anglias have the same look!!!Its all gone downhill since Buddy Holly died.

Gassers rock. Next to fenderless hot rods, they're my favorite cars ever. Check this bad muddafuckin' johnson out! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=208571
Since these guys joined up recently I've met and gotten to know them a bit, since they're nearby. Like their Econoline, they're A1 in my book.

Here is one I have watched since I was very young. It runs high 8's with a stack injected SBC in it. It spends more time on 2 wheels than anything! Cool unit!!!!
