I recently acquired this flathead manifold. It's a hexagon tool, but with the Evans name on it instead also the name Gary Rupert stamped as well. Typed it to google and found there was a racer by that name that raced a flathead powered topolino. Wondering if anybody had anymore info on the car or the driver.

    Thanks! IMG_1480192041.291474.jpg IMG_1480192057.762435.jpg IMG_1480192078.951409.jpg IMG_1480192091.447494.jpg IMG_1480192100.174260.jpg IMG_1480192108.280531.jpg

Gary was the older brother of Frank Rupert who drove the the "Pay n Pak" top fuel dragsters based in Spokane WA.
Frank's son Jason competes in the current nostalgia Funny Car series...Dyno Dave

Frank did pilot the EAGLE ELECTRIC AA/FD which became the PAY n PAK AA/FD when" EE's" owner changed the name of his stores to PAY N PAK... Frank and a partner based in CA. campaigned a Camaro funny car for many years. Dyno dave

In the 50's I lived near the Rupert's 13 st. family home in Spokane, and swiped some Gary's nitro for my .049 model airplane motor. When it finally fired off, grabbed a bunch of RPM's loud Bang and a tiny piston & rod were hanging out... Dick Flynn was the engine builder and Gary did the car construction, think they did several race cars together.
I can come with contact information for Frank, if you want to follow this up... Dyno Dave
