Futura to Batmobile

I know, I know....

....but this link includes a video of the Futura in clips from a Glen Ford/Debbie Reynolds movie. (Note the motorized canopy) On the show circuit, the Futura had a pearl paint job in white. It was painted red for the movie and later sold to Barris for $1.00. The rest is history.

The orignial Batmobile was sooooooooooo badass. It was awesome and probably better than most things in the show - except Julie Newmar of course.
She was purrrfect.
The Futura was a perfect base upon which to build the caped crusader's masterpiece.

 

Heres a shot in front of Barris Customs of the Batmobile being loaded up in the Bat trailer being pulled by the Bat Car

 

I think that's the Sonny & Cher Mustang in the showroom window.
