So I've not yet fiddled with steel fuel lines, just swapped some old gross rubber ones. I need to run new lines on my truck, but dont' know about the fittings. Are they the same as brake lines? Can I use a double flare tool like Napa gives you for brakes, or is fuel line different? Also, where can a fella find some braided stainless hose (for future reference)?
Just a 223 so I don't need any huge lines or high-drool fittings. I figure 5/16" will be fine from what I've read in my search. Either I missed it, or it wasn't spelled out for me, but the fittings didn't come up.
    Thanks,
    Jared

Same for brakes, trans, vacuum, fuel, power steering, etc. They're all double flare.

Check aircraft spruce and specialty or your local rod shop for braided stainless line. Personally, I like the aeroquip stuff that's not braided, but made for AN fittings.
