G'day, new round here, I've been into rods since I was about 14 when I was dropped home in a (now mate's) 28 Tudor, I said then I'm gunna get me one of these, and again a few years later when I saw a small convoy out cruizin it was hammered in. I was warned 'Hot Rods will get into your blood, it's an incurable disease' I'm begining to believe it now! I scored an ole A model, a coupla years back and built it in "coupe5win36's" shed, what a guy! And he thought the extensions were to be filled with his car! hehehe Anyways the A is on the road, but it's about 3500 Miles from here, so I don't get to drive it much Catcha's round. Outback
Hi there, welcome to the HAMB. What part of the NT do you live? I've actually visted and loved the place. I drove from Caines thru Mt Isa, then to Tennant Creek, then north. stopping in Mataranka and the Katherine Gorge before arriving in Darwin. Stayed a few days then headed straight south. You got a beautiful country, I really enjoyed myself.
Thanks folks for the welcome, as for where in the N.T. I live in a place called Nhulunbuy or, "Gove". It's on the top left corner of NT's top end, there's 500Miles of dirt between here and Katherine. Which floods in the Wet season. Ob
Well he's got almost a week to make it the 1200 miles so it shouldn't be a problem. Will he be driving it home from the Nats afterwards?
G'day, Well the trip went well, had a ball, and no real probs, and it only rained for one day! bonus, BTW the nats were grouse! Outback
Found a pic of the A-model shortly after rego. Only difference now is a windscreen. Sure beats straining bugs with your teeth.URL=http://www.imageshack.us]
