There is a lot of excitement around here, and I've been meaning to share with everyone for a couple of weeks. I've been without a rod of my own for almost 3 years (HAMB friendly that is) But towards the end of December while cruizing the classifieds I spotted a little truck that really lit my fire.

Long story short, and thanks to friends like L. Eckart for selling it, BenD for hauling it, and Flattop Bob for holding it till I could get there to drive it home, there is a 1946 Ford pickup in my yard!

Very cool -- seems like you don't see the 'jail bar' pickups very often. Congrats!!

Great looking, could be Georges cousin. I like the look of the spare tire too. Have fun with it.

  12. Those old trucks are like beautiful woman - look as good coming at you as they do going away. Although the truck is alot less expensive in the end and usually alot more faithful!
    Nice truck!

Ya never know brother! The red 1930 coupe in my album was a blessing from a man that I did the right thing for. Drove it for years....changed my life!

The few times in my life when I have not had an old truck felt very empty. They help make sense of the world, somehow. Congrats.
