It's Friday, so let's start the show !
Good morning! Here's a little race car I sketched at a show earlier this year.
Thanks for getting it started. I've been missing it,
Childhood Art....the makings of a Hot Rodder
I had some cool, vintage water slide decals, so I had a piece of mirror glass cut, to fit a Model A radiator shell.
Good start guys....
I wanted to high-lite an incredible Automotive artist we all know,... the amazing Steve Stanford.
His work is so wonderful and the man exudes talent beyond belief.
I met Steve Once and and he is a kind as his work is fabulous.
The show has been going now.Pinned for the last 3-4 weeks.
Up front .
That Checker cab is " KICK ASS "
I am biased as I have owned three of them.
Thanks for taking the time, to do that great piece of artwork !
John Middleton-Forsberg Brothers Roadster
Denny Forsberg, his brother, and his friend, John Middleton have been involved in drag racing of all types, going back to those early years of the Fremont Drags, when it started up in the SF Bay Area. The history of the competition cars is varied and each one had a record or two. From Modified Street Coupes/Sedans to Modified Roadsters to Jr. Fuel FED and beyond. Being associated with Vic Hubbard Speed Shop was helpful and has been well documented.
The modified roadster class was called many different names, from Hot Roadster to Modified Roadsters to Competition Roadsters at different dragstrips over the years.
The Blue B/R Class roadster was one of the first competition cars from this group. It was blue with flames when they changed it over to a different color.
What a relief to see the Friday Art Show. I love it and look forward to it each week. Thanks to all of you for keeping it going.
Bit of an art shot in case I break it down the road.
Was my build, it went to Az.

Great show so far, thanks to all who posted, my days complete, got my RUSTY1 fix!
My avatar/1964 first car started out like your picture, Great memories, I installed a speed shop engine, my speed shop being a local junkyard, 348 tri-carb, 3 speed stick, 4:11 rear end and I was off and running, put me on map as a car guy, fastest car in my High School my junior year. CarCrazy all my life, now old just cruisin in my OT hobby cars.
@Jeff Norwell Steve Stanford is amazing. I had an opportunity to introduce myself to him at the GNRS in 2o11.
He was so engrossed in a Cadillac rendering, I didn't want to disturb him so I just sat and watched.
A ton of talent!
I was dealing with a very sick wife this week so nothing new for now, here are some placeholders.
Separate names with a comma.
