great stuff gang, keep'er comin
Thank you Kem, I appreciate it .............
Way cool captures Ken ..............
My 51 Merc Custom, going from California to Ohio to my son tomorrow - ART - he is going to have fun with.
Jigger, what a great selection of drawings, especially the last three featuring
the chicks (Hi, Aunt Grace). They're fun to look at.
No discussion needed. Two guys at Dog 'N Suds watching cars cruise through:
"Those painted rims work on that '55"
"Yeah, not bad. I gotta get some kool wheels for my C-10".
See? Simple. We don't have to necessarily live by or speak in technical terms.
Something I see frequently is "rally rims" and "rally wheels". Both work and
everyone knows what is being spoken about.
Where in the world did you get those little bitty wheels for that Metro. Was that a special order car? Ha!
Hurricane Sally left us without power until about 30 minutes ago. I was worried I would not get to see the Friday Art Show. Were were dented here but not broken. We were in the direct line of this thing and it was bad. There is a lot of damage around us but we are safe and sound. What we went through does not hold a candle to what our west coast friends are experiencing. Thinking of them. Prayers sent.
Now that’s creative.

My friends 38 Chevy
Fine art at it's finest in my book Steve! Love the Tank lakester...
Glad you guys are okay. I hope this rings true for the vast majority of others who have suffered through this latest hit on 2020...
Not a debacle Just a spirited conversation.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words and likes! many times I had hinted at a reverse view of the "High Flyin' Moon Shot" first commissioned by the HAMB's own @safari-wagon several years ago. My son, at the time, said, "Ya know dad, this is good but you;d probably sell the crap out of them if it was from the other guy's point of view." LOL!
These were the result of some 'study drawings' for just such a possibility. For some its' probably still playing it 'too safe' but I have to draw the line somewhere. keeping it "sassy but classy"...
Thanks @quick85 and @kenmo !!!
Have a great weekend gang!
I received this 3 D printed Rat Fink in the mail today from a customer. Had to put it on the dash of my truck!
I know that they say imitation is the highest form of flattery, so your friend has really flattered you by making his Chevy look just like your outstanding 40. Lol.
Great stuff Ken!
Very nice Mate!
Lets throw in some bonus oldies since I've miss a couple weeks. These are the redundant days..
2020 can go "BEEP" itself, we have the FAS to smooth out the rough roads...
The original "Nash Metropolitan"
Hey Mark, Wish there was a "love it" button instead of just a "like". You made my day
Beyond your cars... lookin' at your girls, with their playful attitudes, is always FUN! But the exaggerated details of your little Metropolitan, Mark... OMG! It gave me a serious belly laugh! Much appreciated! The funny thing to me is, that's the way they really look! Their proportions are ridiculous... and by the way... your color combo is spot on perfect!
Thanks brother!!! That’s old school HAMB prep. Just scan the pencil sketch( I drew very quickly) and color with one brush in the Photoshop and, boom!
I watch each FAS Art show with great admiration. I did spend much of my grade school days trying to draw cars. Back in the 40's and 50's when the cars we enjoy were rolling off the assembly lines.
I could render a somewhat likeness, but just did not have the talent to draw like those who post here. My hat is off to all of you.
And I will make no bones about it but Rusty is my favorite
^^^Jim C,..a BIG thank you for that.
...turned this quick sketch into an old school quick sketch...
