Art & Inspiration Friday Art Show 10/10/08

Another awesome show as usual guys! Maybe next week I'll have something new to post..I've got a big painting in the works right now!

 

Thanks ToddJ and Fink. That was an experiment with texture. I painted over some window screen, let it dry a bit then peeled it off. Then finished the painting.

 

This is my buddys car. It's here in Bardstown KY. His name is Dice, and he built it all by hand himself.. It's as nice in person.

LOL, hey there Lemorris!!! I'm a hot rodder from way back, I didn't expect to see a fellow screen print forum artist here , we need to tell our buddy Greg Tedder to clock on and show us all how it's done.

Love to. I have it on Photobucket but every time I try to get it loaded onto the HAMB it says, "Invalid" or "Too large". How do you guys make the damned thing work, anyway?

 

I'm always Johnny come lately. Almost didn't make it but my two year old daughter helped me restring this just in time to posts these.

Heres some pictures of an old Tootsietoy Hotrod that a buddy of mine redone for me by polishing and painting,I really liked the way the wheels came out.

Tedder... chances are he's already lurkin. He's the best.

Oh...to answer the question, I scan my pencils then do the lineart in Illy most times then render in Photoshop. Sometimes I do lineart and render in PS.

Killer stuff Dude! (This week and last)

I'm seeing canvas showing through on that one...very cool! What size do you usually work with?

 

It's just a texture, mate. I work 100% digital now, mostly with Painter X.

 

Damn, I have this block mounted and hanging in my bedroom, I love it and so do my kids !!

 

Well I'm late, and it's bike stuff not car stuff, but if somebody local had the balls to let me paint their ride I could post some car stuff. I guess WI isn't ready to see this kind of stuff on a car....

 

I would like to interact with more of the artist here. I am kinda new and would like to learn more about the digital side of the industry. Please send me a pm so I can share my thoughts.

Thanks Sonny. The Caddy fins really set it off! I like all your stuff, but I dig your 3D stuff the most. You did a really cool print for my buddy Bob in Topeka though.
And a big kudos to all the other artists out there. This is one of the neatest places for car culture art on the web.

 

Once again, I'm totally blown away by the talent on display here! I'm happy to be allowed entry into the best art show every week, bar none. You guys all rock, so I won't name names (It would be a long damned list).
