    Per NHRA rules, gassers had to run headlights.

    I am sad to report that Mike Etzkorn, owner of the Fred Hurst Barracuda, has passed. His son tells me that a half-brother will be taking on the build. But I will likely lose track of it.

    Mike was a good friend and mentor to me. Hard to believe he is gone.
     
  5. WOW! What s shock! I met "Chicago Mike" (what we called him in California), several years ago at the Long Beach Swapmeet, and sold him a few carburetor cores since then. Sorry to hear of this sad news.

    here is the crazy part, Mike had a twin brother named Pat. They fought like heck, hated each other, but were still brothers and would always stand behind each other. 26 days after Mike passed, Pat did the same. Their poor mother lives and must be heartbroken.
