Morning fellow HAMBers, I am looking for a early ford V-8 flathead for my '30 sedan project. Can anyone out there help me out with this request/search. Thx Kevin (NW Indiana).
Keep an eye on Chicago Craigslist. There are a few around that keep popping up. One guy in Elmhurst has a few. These engines need to be rebuilt.
Rick Whetsel at Whetsel's Automotive (Machine shop) in Greenfield, IN (20 miles east of Indy) has a bunch of them and he specializes in rebuilding vintage engines. Give him a call at 317-462-9461.
There's a 53 or 54 flathead here in tn out of a truck. The guys asking 500 bucks unless it's sold already. It's complete from pan to carb I think.
