Not an f100 then, that’s one ruled out.

I would get the fuel pump that matches the vehicle...not one that matches the engine (as far as year, etc).

Does your truck have vacuum wipers?

The truck is a 65, but the block looks like 62, so wouldn’t I need a 62 pump to bolt up to the block/cam? I realise the block mount is the same, my concern is the cam and the angle of the pump arm..

like I said before you want the pump that matches the vehicle. The block is just a lump of iron, the year it was made doesn't have anything to do with what fuel pump you need. How the fuel lines fit the engine bay, what wipers it has, etc does make a difference.

Look at the Rock Auto choices. There is an electric wiper version, that fits that block.

There is ONE design for the 4-main bearing 144/170/(rare)200. Your block is a 1961 design. It does not matter what year it was installed, or what it is in. The early block did not change, depending on what wipers you had.

C=1960s. 1=year. C1=1961. What C1 means is that the block was designed in 1961. It does NOT mean anything but that. The letter/number code only got changed when there was a design change.

Thanks everyone, really appreciate the time you've spent helping me on this, and I understand what you were getting at now Squirrel. Because the truck had the early style pump, and thats where the hardline heads to, I'm gonna go early pump but no vacuum, as I have electric wiper, which I think is right..either SPECTRA PREMIUM SP1210MP or AIRTEX 6491 .... gimpy??

that looks like the right number for the early 170. So it should work in the engine, and if the lines are in the right places then it should fit the truck.
