I see lots of fog/driving lights on everything from the "R" word cars, to bombs, to traditional stuff. My question is which side does the light go on, when using one light, and why? Thanks!

Driver side. To light the road to make sure you're still in your lane.

As a personal preference if I have single or a mixed pair I like the driving light on the pass side to illumitate the shoulder and to keep the glare further away from oncomng traffic and the fog on the drivers side to illuminate the center line. But that what I like.

Where I come from the single fog light is a modern phenomenon. Back in the 70s a pair of fluted lens fog lamps were often added as decoration. I can't ever remember seeing a single lamp until the late 90s maybe?

That being said I got this one down off of the shelf where it had been sitting already restored for 30 years and put it on the drivers side because that seems to be the popular spot. I'm such a copy cat.:D I have a pair but I think 2 would be too much.

  6. If you look at vintage cars you will see that restorers allways go symetrical. One giant sized headlight in the middle can be cool too. I like symetrical even though a single light on one side does get attention. You know, the " why did he use one light " statements.
