Reminds me of this chopped '32 5 window my friend was selling in '98 or so- it was cut off from the tail panel to about the middle of the cowl, for a drastically tilted body on a VW pan. He wanted $6,500- and it ran and drove! Seemed like a lot dough for half of a 5 window body... but who knows- It was before everyone had a camera all the time, so I didn't get pics... I hope it wasn't made out of some long lost famous hot rod-

It would have made great Fonzie dune buggy.

I sure had fun with your Lincoln. It served me well and was a fun car to drive...all the way to Salina, KS.

too bad it ended up in the tow lot.

I trust this new hotrod will have a better life?!

perhaps you should hook up with the Losers and journey to Fort Atkinson Cruise Night.

I will head to Waukesha some Wednesday if it cools off a bit.

    Great save...nice work!

I have to admit, for about an hour one time, I contemplated a mid engine VW powered A sedan.

Great save. Funny, I keep going back to the "before" pic. Maybe to remind me of what some people are capable of doing to old cars.

Thanks Bob, the Linc is a fun ride for sure, I tried to buy it back, but it's (apparently) worth gold (a pat on my back)..... It just makes me laugh that it came back here.......I wish I had room and the $, so be it. It helped me climb the ladder to this and my o/t Cutlass. You can't keep them all, even you! I will say that the car looks as good today as when you bought it, and that's A1 in my book. Rumor was it would just be scrapped! That's when it got personal, and I'm glad the tow douche saw $ signs..............PM me if you're coming out to the 'Shaw. I'll do the same if I can run out to FA.........

Man, that's like a train wreck; horrible to see but you can't quit looking. For the life of me I don't know how anyone could think that's a good idea...

Great work on the save by the way. Looks awesome!

I hope everyone reads my posts with some "tongue in cheek" in mind. Thinking outside the box is why we have this great hobby. I've had plenty of times where "looks good on paper" doesn't work in the real world. This was one of those times, in my opinion.
There is nothing groundbreaking or exceptional about my car, other than it's mine, built the way I could afford, and with my 2 hands where I couldn't afford, and I appreciate the kind words. The HAMB has definitely shaped my tastes in cars. I wanted and built my "vision" of a HOT ROD with old and new parts, and I'm glad it's got more than 50 horsepower, and at least mid engine wouldn't hang out the ass like a giant turd/ wart/ hemmoroid........

  25. The car is awesome, great work. Is the former owner in a mental institution?
