About a month ago I got a call from my neighbor ProtoTypeDesignFlauz. He wanted to know if I wanted/needed some Model A parts off a chassis he got from EnginePro5x. I said "not really". After some negotiations I dragged home some banger parts. As many of you know, once a "new" project appears, soon it takes on a life of it's own and grows. With a few phone calls to friends about my new interest, I soon had parts arriving from all over. I really am thankful I have such great friends.

    Proto- engine/trans/rear/frontend
    Beemer's Dad- banger head/dizzy parts/carb
    2muchstuff- dizzy parts/sparkplug/pedals
    barnfindT- framerails/radiator/cowl/grillshell/hood
    KCTAchris- dizzy parts/valves/shackles/misc etc
    barnfindT- more dizzy parts/gauges/ubolts etc

    Here is the first mockup:

Cleaning the banger for paint. At this point i had it running:

    It's green:

Last weekend I put the chassis together to see what I had:

Wheeled it into the shop to clean up the frame:

    Set the motor in:

Saturday I had to massage the AA front crossmember to fit the A rails, install the T rear spring, repair the middle crossmember and start attaching parts:

Then yesterday with some fuel and a makeshift seat I was off to the races:

It runs great, starts right up and putts around the yard. Next I think I'll get the brakes working a little better and start figuring out the body/seats/floor. Fun for the winter!!!

Thanks again to all who helped! :):D

Cool - knew you were making good progress, but already yard driving is great!! Depending what you want to do for seat/body, don't forget I know where theres a front subrail/seatpan section for an A really cheap...........

Yes. I would recommend your own chair. You don't want to sit on my lap.

I was surprised how easily it started up the first time.

The girls are excited to ride/drive it. Mom- not so much...

As soon as the brakes are working better, I'll be able to tear around some pastures with it.

Really cheap? Maybe I need to come over and do some shopping...

Correct? You don't like John Deeyah green?

Just the engine shortblock, trans, rearend and front axle.

That is part of the plan. I saw these older T pickup beds on the mtfca site.

  22. Well thanks for telling me !! I've had the local POLICE trying to find the culprit who removed the rolling chassis along with the engine, trans, and rear end from my bussiness location !!! >>>>.

Are you joking? or do you think that Jay took your chassis? I know this is the internet, but from here it sounds like there was a "mis-understanding" on the chassis.

    Chris

  29. Go back and read the parts break-down !!! Jay doesn't have the frame !! The cat that hauled it off has my frame !! And as far as the reward goes it'll be in the form of merchandise !!! >>>>.
