I've got a friend with a 1946 Ford coupe that is dripping oil out of the vent opening on the right front of the oil pan while running. Is this due to to much blowby? The engine seems pretty sound and runs great otherwise, any tips or tricks? I told him I'd try and find something out. Thanks, TomCat1:cool:

That is normally the exit for the ventilation system. Make sure oil filler cap up top is clean and not restricting flow, make sure oil level is not over full mark to start.
Does it smoke or use lots of oil?

Sorry I don't know any history on oil consumption but it doesn't smoke at all. Thanks
