ok my 50 ford started running rough when i was driving. I noticed little gas in the fillter(small plastic fram filter). fillter is located between pump and carb. I replaced the fuel pump but still have the same problem car cuts out and sputters when gas pedal is pressed. check for flow with line disconnected from carb and had good flow. when line is connected to carb I dont see gas going into filter. what should i look for next. thanks for help up till this point!

  2. when your driving it's probably drawing a piece of debrie onto float causing it to shut off gas. the carb would be my choice since you have established good flow through pump to carb. change the filter if you haven't already done so.

Just pop the top from the carb and look into the float bowl. There should only be gas in there.
