Have the opportunity to buy two cams option 1: Engle 1047
    Option 2:Weber R1C (may be R7C)
Both are measuring at 320 max lift.
Motor will be a 59a with 187 overbore, dual 97s, super intake and eldbrock heads, 3.75 stroke.

Advice on what can to pick would be appreciated?

There are hundreds of different cam grinds , total lift is only one parameter to consider.
    Check this out ,https://www.tildentechnologies.com/Cams/FlatheadPerformance.html
your cam choices are not represented but there are a number of good cams to compare with. You should probably get them checked out properly on a Cam doctor .

A FH V8 cam is expensive, in the 300-350 range. But considering the cost to rebuild that engine, and getting it right, I’d suggest contacting cam grinders that still know those engines, know them well and have a good reputation. Pete1 here on the HAMB is often spoken of as one who knows and can give proper advice. Many have chimed in about the cams they had him grind and how happy they are with it, never read anything negative.
