Flathead, broken head stud removal. Your tips???

    If I do not remember wrong there where a post a while back regarding removal of broken head studs on flatheads. I did not save this, unfortunately.

    Now I need the info. Got a broken one on my motor.

    Please let me inn on some experience guys.

    If its not broken to far down,weld something to it,and knock it loose.. Use good heat on the welder.

    There are plenty of ways to do it - I think one of the best ways is the put a nut on/over the broken stud (if it's at least flush) and mig weld it to the stud. After it cools, back it out...good luck!

    this was what I was looking for.

    Yupp poncho. I got the mag. [​IMG] I even posted about it on here, sendt dollares to Ryan and all. By now I have read holes in it. I have a spare mag lying in my den for spezial occasions.
    Many betes old roadster is one of my all time favorites. The patina on that car is priceless. [​IMG]
