I finally got to drive my coupe today. Sorry, I didn't get a video of it, it just happened. Oh man what a cool feeling to finally experience. I am trying to finish this thing for the Mooneyes BBQ, but if it doesn't happen, I will just keep thrashing along.

I'm just getting links to pics, so here they are...

Alternator bracket I made along with bent fuel line.

made a seat from plywood with a 3" deeper seat than stock model A. I had an upholstery shop sew up seat for me. I could have done this, but work has been busy. I helped the guy by stapling on the bottom and he did the top. Let's just say i will be redoing the top again. Should have just done it myself.

Here is a shot of the back license plate light I scored at lonbeach today. Rambler light for $5. much better than the pepboys stuff I had on.

Used some of that Lowes sound deadener for the floor. see how it goes. I mad a recessed storage box for tools and stuff as well a a battery mount built in to the floor.

M/C access door with more sound deadener.

made an overflow tank today from an old fire extinguisher. Scored this today form the LB swapmeet today too. Used the brass tubing that was inside and soldered on the tubes through the bottom.

Now just have to make a mounting bracket and it ready to go.

Door panels are next, just deciding on a design. Something plain yet interesting I guess?

Oh yeah, as I was filling up my tranny today for the first time. The thing started leaking in between the torq converter and the tranny. Now after all this work i am going to have to pull the tranny out and hope that it is just the seal and not a craked housing. I still took tha bitch out for a first drive, MADE MY DAY!

Here's the latest. I sewed up a new headliner . Scored on some mohair type fabric at an old upholstery supply for 3 buck a yard. Before i installed the headliner, I glued up some of that reflectix stuff.

I also stapled in some new windlace While I was at it. I used some chipboard to make a pattern for the upper interior panels. I'll be using Rolf's idea of making these from aluminum. After this, door panels!

Hey Franco , it has been a learning experience for sure. I'll bring it by before you guys take off.

Stephanie bought me a cuban cigar when I first got this coupe in '05. I have been saving it for my first drive in it. I drive it around for about an hour last night. And yes I hooked up a cigar lighter in the car.

Dirk35, I made this MC door from an old house electical panel. I used part of the door and it's hinge still attatched. It is heave guage sheetmetal and kind of weighty. The finger pull is from another sub panel .

I like the recessed fingerpull ring so i cut it out of the second panel cover and welded itino the mc doo. The mc door has a flange all around the door frame , so I welded it to my sheetmetal floor. I'll snap a pic and post it later for you.
Hey Don, how ya been ? good I hope.
Bob, SEPTEMBER ! Movie night just for you, post details later as things firm up.

Thanks guys, seeing you all having all the fun at thte car show and road trips has kept me going. I have tried to only work on the car when it was fun to me.

latest addition to it is a customized hole in the tranny pan ( traced down that pesky leak) and some leather hood straps.
