i do a lot of looking here on the hamb, but not a lot of posting. so i figured i would start by going ahead and posting some pics of my first hot rod that i build from the ground up. i have bought cars and done a few things here and there but i have not done a complete car. it took me about 4 years to complete, mainly because i had to learn things as i went along. i had to make the cab bigger so that i could fit as i am 6'4". i posted a few pics of the frame under construction as well.

    cab

    chopped - 4.5"
    channeled - 3"
    widened - 8"
    lengthened - 6"

I saw your truck at the Round UP.
Really very cool, when I realized it was wider...I went around it again.
I took 5 pictures that whole trip,3 were of your truck.

I think the widened cab really throws the proportions off. But the build quality is excellent, and looks like the metal work is very nice. I dig the headers.

Never really like widened or stretched 32-34 cabs but you did a fine job of getting it goin. Although I love building cars for customers ($$) it makes me just as happy to see somoene go out on a limb and do it themselves. Good job

I'm a year & a half into a build of a similar truck & now I suddenly feel like Zippy the Pinhead. Astounding work! Stretching everything in two directions, including the freakin' doors, was a true labor of love. You can't get these results without poring your heart into it. I'm going to do the same lightening holes in the inner rocker panels, but of course your are beveled. Incredible attention to detail. Yipes!

Dan saw the truck at LSR, but did not know it was yours. All I can say is you built that truck to fit YOU, not someone 5 ft. tall. Great job, I heart that truck!
