Finally got my buick back on the road

    After quite a long shelving, my 53' buick is back on the road. It was great getting behind the wheel again...

    Looking good. How did you lower your car if you don't mind me asking. I am in a dilemma on whether I should cut my springs heat my coils or bag my 51 Buick.

    In the front I got lowered uprights that moved the spindle up and cut a coil. The front does not have the stock upper a-arm, they are from a later model Olds with tube shocks. In the rear I had coil springs made that lowered the car. I could not cut a coil because the rear springs are pig-tailed.

    She's lookin gooood!!! Diggin that two tone also. Was that a concept car traditional paint job from the factory? LOL Sweet stance!

    sweet lookin buick. good to see you got it back on the road. I cut 1 and 3/4 of a coil out of a set of s10 coils for the front of mine. The rear I put a different set of springs in and heated them.
     
  7. Thats a great looking car, looks like its in a little better shape then the one i had!

    Still running the (263?) straight 8 or did you swap it out?

    still runnin the straight 8/Dynaflow setup. Runs great!:)

    wanna trade? I gota sweet 82 skylark 4dr.! Id even throw in some really cool hubcaps , that keep spinnin when ya stop . only 3 still work though . love it ,makes me want to keep mine!!!!!!!
