I have been watching this car for a few years and finally he needed to pay the tax man, and I was able to get it. New 425, new trans, new stock interior, smoothed emblems, custom grille and shaved handles. I am thing repaint oriental blue candy, silver flake roof, ditch the 17 inch polished 5spokes, and put chrome reverse wheels, spidercaps, and thin whitewalls. Its been sitting in the garage since 2004, paint was new in 03... What ya think

Beautiful Car. One of the few that needs very little to make a kool Kustom. Congrats.

  5. I've loved that model ever since Barris did a Kustom job on one way back.

  6. So are the headlights outboard like a '65 behind a grill? Looks that way, but can't tell. Looks like he spent some good money on it for sure. Roll that sucka out and wash it and post better pics soon!

He actually mounted Acura integra projector lights in place of the original parking lights. But with the park lens in you cant see them. Unsure how well they work and will probably need some type of work to get it right..

  10. Good score. A 63-65 Riv is on my "must have" list when I hit the lootery!!:)

    WAY cool car...

if paint is taht new I would maybe get everything else done to the car you want and then give it a week or two to see if the color grows on ya... no use in killing fresh paint if ya dont have to, and there are a LOT of candy blue and silver rivies popping up lately..

way nice car, cant wait to see where ya take it

    Nice score.

I get more compliments on my Riviera than any other vehicle I've ever owned, I'm sure you will too.

You'll love it....spare yourself the agony of repainting it. EVERYBODY loves a Riv..........I get hassled in every carpark in my stock (but showroom)'70....takes 40 minutes to buy milk and bread, but sooo worth it.

A wash/wax looks like all that needs. I'd drive the hell out of that. One of my favorite cars in stock form.

back in the early 90's there was one of those in my hometown junkyard. I used to drive by it every day and dream. someone rescued it, i saw it around town a couple of times, but it disappeared and i never saw it again. killer cars.

Is that ever a nice looking car! In my mind they don't need much help.
    Cheers,
